Application Process

All open positions are posted in accordance with current City policies and collective bargaining agreements. Positions for which external recruitment has been authorized are posted on this website. External postings may also be reviewed at City Hall. City Hall is open to the public during the weekday hours of 8:00AM to 4:30PM.

The City does not accept unsolicited applications for employment. Applications may only be submitted for an active, open position. A City of Lebanon Employment Application is required in order to be considered for employment; resume-only submissions may be rejected.  
Once applications are received, they are forwarded to the hiring department for consideration. The department will only contact those applicants for which there is further interest. Questions regarding the status of an employment application should be directed to the hiring department.
All offers of employment are contingent upon an applicant’s successful completion of a background investigation. The extent and nature of the background investigation will depend upon the position for which the applicant is being considered and may include such inquiries as a criminal background check, motor vehicle check, pre-employment physical, testing, etc.
